Ralph M. Freer
November 1947 - March 2008
Ralph was a true master of many trades. Extremely intelligent and always full of ideas he amazed me over and over. Throughout his life, Ralph achieved success in many different fields. Besides being an extremely talented and masterful knife maker, Ralph was an accomplished musician and artist. He was very athletically inclined, being a remarkable gymnist and surfer. He achieved fame as the owner of an international company designing and selling T-Shirts during the surf boom in the 1960's-1970's.
Every time Ralph and I got together, we not only had fun, but I learned a great deal. There was always something more to learn from Ralph. I am very thankful to have known Ralph and honored to have been able to call him my close friend. Ralph's family is warm and kind. They accepted me into their family and treated me like "Uncle Phil". His passing will always feel like one of the greatest losses I've ever experienced. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him.
